Many have hoped to see the much awaited SED Televisions this winter in 2007, but this looks very unlikely as Canon and Toshiba have delayed the next-gen SED TVs because of some issues in the North American market.
We are not sure yet, but we may even have to wait to 2009 (lets hope not), the reason its bad news is because SED TVs consume 33% less power than Plasma and LCD TVs, the image looks the same at all viewing angles and they are 10 times lighter than a CRT.
One of the issues might be that people will stick with HDTV’s in the form of Plasma and LCD because they are much thinner than the new SED TV (which is one big problem they need to overcome)…also read information on Laser TV here.
